About
I'm a software engineer in Baltimore. I like the part most demos skip: what happens after the thing works.
My day job is a healthcare services organization, where I built a document-intelligence pipeline that turns a flood of inbound clinical documents into structured data — custom classification and extraction models on Azure, wired through Functions, Blob Storage and Postgres — and the operational analytics platform the group reads its numbers from, in TypeScript and Next.js. I owned that pipeline's move into production, and the outage that followed it. The thing I'm proudest of there isn't a model; it's the regression workflow that makes it obvious when a number quietly changes.
Outside work I don't stay in one lane. I shipped Julienne to the App Store — a SwiftUI cooking app that reads your grocery receipt, turns thermal-printer abbreviations into a real pantry, and suggests what to cook with it. I built paydirt, an agent that reads social platforms for genuine complaints and synthesizes business hypotheses, with a critic pass because a model grading its own work optimizes for confidence rather than correctness. I'm building brain, the system that generates this site. I made a fitness game where the only way to grow a creature is to actually move, and a hosting platform for the small apps agents write.
Before that: fine-tuning and deploying LLMs for a production customer-service assistant, and computer-vision research on marine sensor data at the University of Delaware's DeepREAL Lab — segmenting seafloor imagery across seventeen substrate classes. I finished an M.S. in Computer Science in 2025, after a B.S. concentrating in AI and robotics, while rowing five seasons on the men's crew team.
iOS, web, cloud, ML, systems. The stack is whatever the problem needs; the constant is finishing.
